Drifta Trek Send Subliminals & Direct Shots Aimed At Aqualaskin, 3P, Chellah & More

Zambian rapper – Drifta Trek has sent some subliminal & direct shots at some Zambian artists on a song titled “Currently” which is taken off from his recently released mixtape tagged “Good For HipHop”. The mixtape consists of four songs and one of the the songs tagged “Currently” has already caught a lot of attention from music fans.

On the song, Drifta Trek first boasts of being a consistent Zambian HipHop artist. He claims top artists who he used to fear in the game are no longer relevant and all we have now are wack rappers. Drifta Trek says rap has become weak and the only people now trending are comedians and bloggers. He further adds he cant take greetings from a Tiktoker. We don’t know how Tiktokers will feel about this but its definitely something that will annoy most of them. He also says Cameramen have started judging how good or bad a song is. Most music fans for obvious reasons will think he was talking about Chellah Tukuta since his one of the best photographers in the country who does such. That line seemed to be a subliminal shot sent to Chellah Tukutah. Drifta Trek made a mockery at the photographer as well stating that instead of criticising how good or bad a song is, they should concentrate on shooting videos which have a poor quality like the serie “Isidingo” which started airing in 1998.

On the other hand, Drifta Trek says Dj Mzenga Man doesnt need to SAVE HIPHOP. Remember, Dj Mzenga Man has an album he wants to release and the name of the album is “SAVE HIPHOP”. One would wonder if Drifta Trek was throwing shade at Dj Mzenga Man or that was just him trying to play around with words. Whichever the case, Him & Some real HipHop fans know better.

Drifta Trek finally adressed the issue where he was accused of stealing a song by 3P from 4 Na 5. He spared 2 barz on the song to diss 3P. This could be another uprising rivarly which seems to not end well.

Some subliminal shots were sent to Aqualaskin. Drifta Trek said on the song that a rapper used to rap now he just twerks on stage without a shirt. This is a more obvious shot that it was aimed at Aqualaskin. We all know Aqualaskin used to do rap music and he later on started doing Amapiano songs. His peformance on stage also caught attention where he was said to be twerking. On a number of peformances, Aqualaskin peformed without a shirt as well. We don’t really know were this rivarly has come from but this will definitely be Good For HipHop.

Drifta Trek says he came from an era of free music downloads. He further adds artists are now buying views. This could have possibly been aimed at Yo Maps, Mordecai & Chile One. We are not saying these three artists buy views on Youtube but we all know all of them were accused of buying views some weeks ago. Drifta Trek also says the competition between Yo Maps & Chile One is good but one of the two is just not good enough. Drifta Trek has collaborated with both artists before and we all don’t know who he is talking about.

Drifta Trek says he isnt happy how the Kwacha Music Awards categorize award categories. Drifta Trek has never won an award. Could it be he is frustrated at them or he is just spitting facts? Let us know in the comment section.
